Holiday facts ... or fiction...

Blyth beach huts Hurray!
It's stopped raining, the sun is shining and the holidays have begun.

It's also just a little more than two weeks until the Premier League – and the lloydmasters Prem begins, but more about that in a later blog.

Here are some facts to keep you thinking....
  • 76% of UK CEO's and MD's favour the Caribbean for a family holiday 82% of management consultants don't have time to take all of their holiday entitlement
  •  93% of US CEOs favour the Caribbean or Florida for a family holiday
  • 100% of accountants always take all of their holidays – I wonder if they’re in the Caribbean?
  • A small number of the population go ghost watching for a holiday (yes really – ask Simon in the office!)
  • 2 million jam sandwiches are served annually by Mark Warner staff
  • Notice, to an employer, of when you want to take holiday, must be at least twice as long as the amount of holiday (particularly if you are going to the Caribbean because otherwise it will be booked up)
  • The average leave and public holiday entitlements across all EU states is 34 days. In the UK, the average is 28
  • 68% of UK middle managers go to France or Spain for their family holiday (obviously the Caribbean is full up!)
  • Pretentious UK managers and professionals go to Spa Hotels (free to travel writers)
  • 100% of everyone I've ever asked would like to be a travel writer...
